Port Kembla

"Great place to live"

Port kembla is an awesome place to live. If you're not from here be aware that there is a large industrial section to the north and the Main Street is undergoing the process of gentrification.

The Main Street has a club, 3 pubs, fish and chips, waxing, newsagent, speak fishing shop, music store, bulk nutrients, Serbian Burek, butcher, tobacconist, bakery, pie shop, realestate agent, tile shop, chemist, dentist, doctor, day spa, function venue (the vault), multiple wedding shops for dresses, flowers decorations, 3 hair dressers, photographer, printing place, art galleries and workshops, event caterer, sustainable vegan friendly cafe, furniture restoration, upholstery, recreational retailer (hunting), bottle shop, plus multiple cafes, five petrol stations (hence cheapest fuel in the illawarra) 4xsmash repairs/mechanics. A Spanish restaurant down near the beach and several other fish and chip shops and cafes spread around the town. Don't know what people mean when they say the Main Street is dead?!

It's a port - so ofcourse there are boarding houses and a few street workers, never caused a problem to anyone I know in town!!!

The beach is fantastic, the native bush regeneration on the oval and through the alleys is beautiful. So many native birds flourishing around now as well. The pool is fantastic.

We absolutely love it here!
