"A suburb to keep your eye on"
My family and I live in collingwood park (also in collins st) we have for years and It's great to see howmuch the suburb has grown and a more professional croud of people are moving into the area. rental prices are rising which is fantastic as it's pushing out the scum that used to live around here. This is a great area to buy as rates are still quite low, 40min to brisbane 1hour to gold coast. Also doesnt have any traffic problems in or out unlike the more expensive springfield lakes. Regarding the mining.... People who badmouth Collingwood park are IDIOTS!!! Sorry, however they're probably unaware that most of ipswich is built on mines. Don't let this be the deciding factor weather to buy or build in collingwood park. If you do you will be missing out on a big opportunity, which will one day be quite financially rewarding.

- Only 30 minutes drive to Brisbane
- Massive potential for future growth
Not great for
- No decent restraunts or food outlets
- Housing Commission
- Mining was a problem only on one or two streets, but fully supported by Govt. Council has got all information about where the mines can be.no problem.
