We moved into St Kilda a year ago after living in various suburbs in Melbourne, from outer (Ringwood, Box Hill) to inner (Brighton, Richmond). We LOVE it here - the beautiful old houses, the beach, the cafes and entertainment, the treed streets, the sense of history in a suburb that is really alive and full of interest. One of the best aspects is the friendly, inclusive nature of the wide range of residents - all of whom are really passionate about this place. Once people move here, they become besotted with the place and many in our street have lived here for over 30 years. People come from all over Melbourne and the world to visit our fascinating locale, but our street is quiet and friendly and we feel really safe here. Our house has been valued at 25% higher than we paid for it 18 months ago, so we're really happy with our decision.
