What a great area to live (if you can afford it) I never got tired of driving along Beaconsfield Parade to get home despite the 55min drive out to work. Can't go past The Local pub at the end of bay street for a quiet pint in the week or to watch sport on the large tv. Easy access to the city. Do get a lot of road noise quite early in the morning though. Very annoying if yr not used to it.

rented here for 11mths. Safe and Quiet enough place. Handy for city and beach. just another suburb really. To be honest I didn't really immerse myself in the community.

On the day I moved into Hodges street I had someone break in and steal TV and stereo while I was picking up another load. Noisy teenagers roaming streets in the early morning.
Glad to be out. It is at least close to the beach. But if I'm goin for a sun bake I'll go somewhere nicer and safer.

I have been renting here since March and absolutely love it. Tried the city and the beach but have come back to Mount Evelyn. Mostly I love the privacy, safety, peace and quiet. Great to have beautiful wildlife in yr back yard.
You do need 3G, normal mobiles (like my finace's) just don't cut it.
Broadband is fast enough but hangin out for ADSL2 to reach out here.

If only a 4bed house would come up for sale in this lovely little pocket.
