"Underrated"
We’re a DINK household and have been enjoying living in Albion so far. There’s a nice community feel, with plenty of young families and kids around Selwyn Park. Kororoit Creek is great for walking and cycling, and Perth Avenue has a small but good selection of cafes.
Getting around is easy, with good road access (M80,M1,Ballarat Rd) and two nearby train stations. Albion Station is set to be rebuilt from February 2026, and there’s ongoing investment in the area, such as the Albion Quarter redevelopment, airport rail upgrades, and projects nearby like Sunshine Energy Park. Albion itself doesn’t have a huge amount going on, but Sunshine is very close and covers most shopping, dining and day-to-day needs.
Overall, it’s a fairly quiet family friendly suburb, although be aware aircraft noise can be noticeable at times depending on wind and flight paths if you are senstive to noise. I have single pane window and it's fine inside - no worries if double glazed or better.
