Have owned a house which has been rented out now for several years. Over the past few weeks it has been renovated in preparation to become owner-occupied and enjoy the Newcastle lifestyle.

First impressions as a resident have been excellent, with most houses having been renovated and a very house proud street. Mostly young families and a great community spirit.

The location is close to beaches (5 mins) and also close to Blackbutt Reseverve, which is an amazing area for picnics, wildlife and conservation, just a few hundred metres away.

The Newcastle council website is an excellent source of information on the suburb, which does a much better job than what I can cover. However at a street level, I can declare Lille Street to be a great family oasis and one of the best places to live in Newcastle (or in the whole of Australia for that matter!).
