"Best suburb for young family"
Altona Meadows is one of the best suburbs in Melbourne’s southwest, boasting abundant natural beauty and close proximity to green spaces, the coast, and Altona Beach—widely regarded as the best beach in the west. It offers a relatively affordable alternative to neighboring suburbs like Altona and Williamstown, where you can still find well-built homes with large land lots from the 1980s and 1990s within a budget of $750,000 to $900,000.
Plus, unlike Altona North or Williamstown, Altona Meadows is situated a bit further from the West Gate Tunnel, resulting in less traffic congestion and lower air pollution.
In contrast, with a budget of $800,000, you can only find smaller land parcels in Point Cook, which has just one main road connecting it to the city—and that road often experiences heavy traffic congestion during peak times.
