Good place for families, retirees and those that work in the City, but don't want to pay too much.
Has the basics (e.g. bank, supermarket, hair dressers), but close to the major shopping centre in Miranda.
Demographic is quite narrow though, mostly with a white conservative culture (be prepared to experience some racism).


Transport
Sits on the South Coast line. Frequent trains to and from the City, with approximately 40 minutes travel time.
Frequent buses and easily accessible.
Not many taxis or uber drivers around.

Lifestyle, Shopping and Entertainment
Not much in Sutherland itself, there's a farmers market every Saturday.
Plenty of gyms around and parks.
Close to Cronulla beach and Miranda Westfield shopping centre.
Strong sports culture with support of teams nearby (i.e. Cronulla sharks)
Nightlife
Most of Sutherland is closed at night, the exception being the convenience stores, supermarkets, pubs, restaurants and takeaway shops.
