Jimboomba

"Perfect place to raise your family"

We moved to Jimboomba so that we could get away from the hustle & bustle of the city. We found a perfect house in a lovely little street & moving here has been the best thing we have done for our family. We have gone from an area where the house was tiny & the neighbourhood wasn't very child friendly to an area where our house & yard is huge & modern & the neighbourhood is perfect. We have fantastic neighbours & all the kids in the street play together safely & everyone looks out for each other. It was a little hard to get used to not having everything at your fingertips at first but now that I've lived here for a few years, I just appreciate where we live more & more & I now like not having all the shops close by & the area isn't too busy. The first thing we said when we moved here was just how lovely the people in the community were & that hasn't changed. Everyone is just so lovely, polite & caring. A very nice change from where we were before as we couldn't even get a wave out of our old neighbours. The school my children go to has been brilliant so far & my kids are very happy there. The daycare center is also wonderful & very accommodating. The local shops are only 5 mins down the road & they have everything you need (except a bakery which would be good). The area we live in has a lovely community spirit & it's a really nice place to go walking or riding your bike. I find myself getting happier & happier with the place & I'm so glad we made the change & we'll never look back!

Great for

  • Great schools & daycare
  • The people, peace and quiet
  • Great investment potential
  • Great sense of community spirit
  • Growing country town

Not great for

  • Needs more doctors & chemists
  • Public transport - not an issue if you have a car

Who lives here?

  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
  • LGBT+
  • Country Lovers
