“Settlers Village” over 50’s is well located in Pine Ridge Rd, located near Brisbane Rd, with a short drive to Westfield Helensvale, Runaway Bay Mall, Harbourtown and about 10 mins to the Gold Coast University Hospital .
It stands up to it’s title “Settlers Village “ having a country atmosphere placed in the middle of suburbia.
Snuggled between a nature reserve and Coombabah State High School which itself has natural bush perimeter, the complex was well planned in construction with all dwellings placed spaciously apart so you don’t have that crammed in feeling evident with so many such resorts where developers crammed in as many houses as the planning permission would allow on the available land.
Adding to this feeling of space is the complex is built on gently rolling north facing lying land so nearly every house has even a little elevated aspect to it. A change from boring flat.
A feeling of spaciousness is evident upon entry through the gates. Few palm trees here so you don’t have to fear palm tree branches hitting your head. Personally I think palm trees are for tourist resorts.
And the roading plan is clever in that there are one way road loops off the main road entrance so that not every car in the complex goes past your own house.
This resort with the usual amenities of swimming pools, tennis court, community hall etc. is well managed by the owners on site with friendly staff. Good security with gates and sufficient night street lighting which I found lacking in other resorts.
