Carnegie used to be great. Now it’s increasingly busy with traffic jams and parking issues. People are rushing and the community feeling Carnegie once had is rapidly changing.

Lots of food options if you live Asian food like I do. Close to Chadstone.

Footscray might be becoming gentrified BUT there’s a long way to go. It might be okay for singles and couples but I wouldn’t live here with a young family.

I have friends with young children going through hell at school because of children from problem families. A real side of life that little children don’t need to see yet. Drugs and social issues in abundance sadly.

Living close to the city might seem attractive but really rent before you buy. Try it out and see beyond the “hipster” veneer.

Cheltenham is a very family orientated area. Weatherall Road is a reasonably busy road. Very close to the golf course. Not far from the beach and Southland shopping centre. The Parlor Milkbar and restaurant is in this street - Cheltenham's best cafe.
