It is the stop off to shop town before going to stay in Binalong bay, Scamander or Anson's bay. Shops, expensive IGA, reject shop, cafes, Japanese eatery, places to stay, harbour with fish and chips.
Personally having lived there I can say it is not safe for women on their own. There is a seedy unsavoury element that needs to be weeded out.
So it is a definite no from me.

Twice crime rate of Hobart. Mayor, premier please sort it out. Youth crime fuelled by drugs, theft of copper pipe from properties and car theft and burnings. Noisy boy racers Friday and Saturday nights. Bogans galore.
Don't get me wrong, fabulous eateries, gardens, cafes, library, archives, galleries, sushi bars, beer boutiques, wineries, cataract gorge, beautiful architecture and tidy city centre, gorgeous parks and a great museum. Utas and the esk river.
Please sort out the crime and create more jobs
