Pacific Pines

"Long time resident."

Have lived in pacific pines for 10yrs - so seen it grow. Excellent family area with a broad selection of housing I.e townhouses to large expensive homes. Very popular area, because of quick access to the beachs 8 mins from my house to broad water non peak. Biggest public hospital in qld opening in 10 months time next to an increasingly popular Griffith university - 8km from the town centre or 5mins drive. Helensvale Westfield 4 mins, schools excellent ESP primary and excellent child care plus after school options. High school has mixed reports but check it out - but comes down to personal expectations. Private schools accessible via bus and trains if prepared to travel a bit. Pacific pines is increasingly popular and with the coomera area expected to grow by 200,000 people in the next 10 or so years pacific pines will be increasingly sought after because of its accessibility to beachs, shops transport incl train. Light rail to the hospital and Broadbeach will come line in a few years. A lot more convience shops opened in past 12 months which has been good.
My only criticism is that there are increasingly numbers of high density town house complexes which pulls everything down in my opinion, so select streets with caution. I personally haven't had any issues with crime or theft, but with the increased high density developments this may be a factor - prejudice rather than experience. Needs better bike access to university/ new hospital via smith street which is presently under expansion so this may happen. A few hoons for sure but the gold coast is a fast growing area so you do get them in all suburbs.
So, good child thro to primary, assess the high school for yourself, very good access to mainstream services and shops, transport, theme parks all within 0 - 8 mins (based on close proximity to PAC pines shops).

Great for

  • Easy access to everything
  • Ultra clean environment
  • Good housing

Not great for

  • Some people just drive way too fast here

Hi Lovenit, it sounds like a good place to live:) Thinking of moving to the area as it is close to everything. Was wondering if you knew the area around Bellinger Key Pacific Pines? If so I would love to hear from you to get some feedback.
