New St is just one street back from High St but you would never know it. In the morning you wake to the sound of birds singing.. the only traffic noises are the occasional train passing along the end of the street. The neighbours are extremely neighbourly always willing to help, chat look after rubbish bins or pets if you are going away. There are plenty of quality shops and restaurants within walking distance and public transport, both trains and trams , are only minutes walk away.The only drawback is that the street is very narrow and parking can sometimes be a nuisance late at night because for the most part it is on street parking. But that is hardly a major problem. It really is a haven hidden away in Armadale.
