Hampstead Gardens

"A great place for anyone."

Always been a bit of an unknown suburb. I live near Manoora Street, and benefit from the oval, tennis courts, playground, local shops, accessible transport, choice of public and private schools. It's only a matter of time before all of the old timber frame homes will go and make way for new housing. The unfortunate thing is that investors seem to be lacking in any sort of flair for design and the new houses are invariably of the same design and look stark and cold. All existing trees are mowed down and blocks cleared, but it seems that new owners don't bother to replace the trees, which changes the streetscape and makes what could be a lovely suburb turn into a somewhat cheerless and uninteresting suburb. Cheers to those who have the initiative to not succumb to the dreadfully boring house designs, and who bother to plant some trees!
