Forresters Beach

"Mansions on a cliff"

Forresters Beach is beautiful and has the best of everything. It is a quiet beach, lined by multi-million dollar properties on the cliff-face. The community is warm and friendly. The views are spectacular of the beach or if facing the other direction, the mountain views and glorious sunsets. There is the most amazing coastal walk right from your doorstep up the cliff, with breathtaking views, and a great vantage point to whale watch. There is also a hang gliders runway, which is wonderful to sit with a coffee and watch them take off. There is a lovely coastal path which you can continue to take all the way to Bateau Bay, Shelly Beach, Toowoon Bay, and to The Entrance etc. If you don't want to leave Forresters, but still want to dine out, there are several options (An Italian restaurant, a Pizza Place and a cafe/takeaway). There is also a wedding reception venue, hairdresser, Interiors & gift store and a bottle shop. If you want to escape the peace and quiet serenity of Forresters, you can then drive the 5 minutes to Terrigal for night life, and a whole host of restaurants, cafes and bars. If I had the choice of living in Terrigal or Forresters, I personally would choose Forresters as I like the peace and quiet, but still have the option of being able to plant myself in the hustle and bustle of Terrigal by only needing to take a 5 minute drive or cheap taxi fare. Forresters beach itself is amazing. It joins Wamberal and Terrigal beaches. Forresters is a favourite with the hardcore surfers as it gets some pretty spectacular waves and even has its own reef. If you are after a gentle swim however, the far right hand side of the beach is generally a lot calmer. The rocks and rock pools provide great visual pleasure that kids love to explore. It's also a dog friendly beach for our four-legged friends. The council have recently put in wonderful new beach access paths at both ends. There is a Bush Regeneration group who meet every month if you want to meet some locals. The Forries gym has a heated indoor pool for aqua aerobics and swimming lessons. If you have young children and work, there are 3 day care centres, one that even opens at 6am. If you are after a good school, The Central Coast Grammar School is 10 minutes away. If you want to commute to the city, there is a bus to Gosford that takes 24 minutes. Then you can get the express train that makes limited stops, so it feels quite efficient. If you plan to drive, the M1 is being connected to the M2 so motoring commute times are soon to be shortened. As for shopping, you have The Bateau Bay shopping centre that is a 5 minute drive away and is ideal for the weekly grocery shop as there you will find a Wooworths, Coles and an Aldi, as well as a Reject Shop, Butchures, Bakeries, Chemist, Medical Centre, food court and Kmart that is open late. If you want all the stores you might find in the city, Erina Fair is just a short drive away and has Mecca Cosmetica, Sephora, Fitness First, Witchery, Portmans, Dotti, Forever New, Kmart, Big W, Target and Myer, an Ice Rink, Cinema, and practically every other store you might find in the city with exception of a Zara or H&M. If you like surf clubs you have Wamberal to the right and Shelly Beach to the left which also has a golf club. If you want to have a staycation, there is Forresters Beach Resort, or you also have a choice of the Crown Plaza which is a 5 minute drive to Terrigal which is across the road from the beach, or alternatively, there is the Pullman Magenta Shores which is an 11 minute drive north, which is also placed on the beach, complete with golf club as well as a beautiful day spa, pool, sauna and steam room. Forresters Beach is a hidden gem, that is being discovered by Sydneysiders who are making the move north, and is going to see some decent growth in the future, similar to Bateau Bay (one suburb further north), that has recently achieved record breaking sales prices, despite the current property market slump.

I fully endorse what Mandy has said ---it is a glowing endorsement by Mandy but is not
exaggerated in the least ---we came here 2 years ago and simply cannot believe our luck and Sydney is only an hour and a half away and that is to the CBD so we still keep in touch with our Sydney friends and they come up here for a break from Sydney when they can
