My husband and I purchased our first property in Carrum Downs over 3 years ago.
Admittedly when we first moved to the area it seemed a bit rough around the edges.
We noticed a lot of hoon drivers in particular, and we even witnessed a car accident on our street as a result of hoon driving.

Fast forward 3 years later and it seems like a very different suburb!
Some hoon drivers here and there but have noticed a significant improvement!
Have also noticed more families and cultures move to Carrum Downs which has helped the suburb boom!
Affordable/new housing, new estates currently underway and due for completion, several great shopping centers available (some stores include Kmart, Bunnings, Priceline Pharmacy, Woolworth's, Coles + IGA to name a few), nice local cafés (good coffee!), nice selection of restaurants/take-out options, 10 minute drive to Seaford beach, 10 minute drive to nearest train station (either Seaford or Carrum), lovely parks and reserves nearby + a good selection of schools for families (private schools available also).
Overall a beautiful and friendly suburb!

My husband and I are looking at upgrading our home/property in the next year or so, and we’re looking to stay in Carrum Downs.
We love it here!
