"Lots of crime"
I live in Mcmahon Road and been experiencing lots of wonderful things. My car got broken into a few times, someone smashed the window. Happened to my neighbours’ as well. Someone even nicked the license plate and mower. I can hear people shouting yelling almost every night. Maybe just in this area due to government housing area?
I have lived in the Merrilands estate for more than 40 years In my opinion the best part of not only Reservoir but all of Darebin for families. This Unique location comprises a single Dwelling Covenant the largest in Melbourne with over 3000 beneficiaries, It covers over 6 square Kilometers of large blocks of land with a single dwelling "in the main" and it won't change. Because of the covenant, It stops developers dead in their tracks from attempting to build multi-dwelling cheap housing in the area. Because of this we enjoy a Privately owned National park style relationship, with larges spacious blocks many trees , and lots of wildlife only 11 kms from the CBD. Ps.... The old houses in the area are now being replaced with large modern houses only 1 per block :)
Agree, its nice, but I couldnt live there. Zero amenities.
You live in McMahon, a lot of poverty and commission houses in your small pocket . Im not surprised there is so much criminal activity. You cant hold reservoir to the same
