Balmain East

"Village within a Village"

Balmain east is right at the end of the Balmain peninsula, approx 2000 people live in the area. It has a lot of open space on the Harbour foreshore, a few " hidden" parks, and several kids play grounds, although some are hard to find if you don't know where to look.
There is a great family orientated pub ( East Village), a couple of cafes, restaurants, a hair dresser, doctors physio, etc in a small area between Duke lane and Johnson street. (100mts)
Public transport is the best; busses every 10 min, ferry to Darling Harbour / Circular quay every 20-30 min, so its easy to get into town, or just up the to Balmains high street, if you don't feel like walking. Busses are good for prams as you don't have to load/ unload the car, just walk on / off the bus, and it cost less then paying for parking when you heading to Balmain center.
Because its at the end of the peninsular , there is no through traffic, so it quiet, low traffic area.
