I grew up on the Northern Beaches and have spent time living in many of its suburbs. By far the best is Curl Curl. It’s relaxed, low-key and friendly. Families love it because of all the parks and sporting facilities and is an easy walk to 3 great schools. It’s got one of the best surf beaches and big open rock pools where everybody hangs out in Summer. The beaches are not crowded - unlike Manly, Freshie or Dee Why, and you can always get a park if you can’t be bothered to walk. If you want to go out, Manly is a 5 min drive, and Freshie is just around the corner for food and drinks. Best suburb!
