Toms Gully Road

"Simply unique place to live !!"

We live on Tom's Gully Road and we have been at Blackmountain for about 10 years. My family and i honestly would not swap our piece of paradise for anywhere else on the planet . Eg we have regular access to the North Coast of NSW yes beaches etc bloody beautiful however to live it is here at Blackmountain which we call home and will call home forever . We have a little boy who thrives on the farm / village type of lifestyle as do mum and dad !. We love the mountain weather which includes snow in the winter and argueably some of the best summer weather in the country.(apparently parts of the country have recently experienced a heat wave and major flooding ? not at Blk Mt we have not left property since Christmas and besides the press we were oblivious to all the extreme weather that has been going on , sympathy to all those effected !!) It honestly makes me feel alive and we pinch ourselves everday to know we have secured our own piece of paradise called Blackmountain . We have a new neighbour who has just bought here ,they are from the Hunter Valley they specifally wanted to buy in Blackmountain been looking for 3 years not just anywhere in the New England but Blackmountain specifically for above reasons . They commented on the quietness and the dark starry nights they do just love it like we do. If anyone is even slightly contiplating living this mountain life i encourage you to do all the research on Blk Mt and simply if you think you would like the winters and are in a position to move then you do yourself a big favour and do it.
Thank you to whoever is responsible for letting me honestly and genuinely brag about Blackmountain and Toms Gully Rd in Particular i always tell people but to be able to write about it on such a prominent website is a great thing ! hopefully it may encourage someone to change there life forever like it has ours we Love it and so will you !
