Bondi Street
19th April 2022

"Bondi Street"

Bondi Street is located in the centre of Ringwood East and boasts great access to schools; Tintern Grammar, Eastwood Primary, Ringwood Secondary (within zone) as well as being a short walk to the Ringwood East Shopping Village & train station (soon to benefit from a new station and level crossing removal at Dublin Rd by 2025). Bondi St is flat making walking pleasant, has many mature green leafy trees, and residents take pride in maintaining & renovating their homes set on large blocks 900+ sqm.

Railway Avenue

"Beautifully presented avenue, in the heart of Ashwood"

Railway Ave is two streets in from the Glen Waverley train line and runs parallel to it. Homes on the higher side of the street have lovely green, leafy views across the homes on the opposite side of the street. Neighbours are friendly and look after their homes.

Great for

  • Clean streetscape
  • Short 6 minute walk to Jordanville train station (Glen Waverley line)
  • Close to childcare, and 'Cafe on Cleveland'

Ashwood

"Roughie amongst the diamonds: A suburb on the up"

Ashwood is very small suburb in area, named after its neighbours 'ASHburton' and 'BurWOOD'. It shares the same post code as Ashburton in the City of Boroondara. Ashwood is in the City of Monash. Ashwood is in a sought after south-eastern region of Melbourne and is close to major freeways (Monash, Eastern) and shopping centres (Chadstone, The Glen). Large parcels of land have typically housed delapidated brick homes, rented by students and low-income families. Commission housing along the train line in Chadstone meant the suburb was less desirable than other neighbouring suburbs like Ashburton, Mount Waverley, Burwood and Glen Waverley - all of which are now premium suburbs with fantastic large homes and good schools and facilities.

Ashwood offers great potential for capital appreciation in the coming years as the trend of demolishing old homes, and building new ones continues. Ashwood itself is green, and quiet and the neighbours are all very friendly. On the weekends the netball courts are abuzz with young girls playing netball with their friends as their parents watch on and socialise. Every 3rd Sunday of the month, there's the Ashwood Farmer's Market on the main cricket oval, with local produce including herbs, cheeses, meats and chocolates. Residents can all feel the positive change in the area and feel lucky to be in such a great area of Melbourne. Be sure to have a full-breakfast at 'Stocksville Cafe' when you visit Ashwood - delicious!

Great for

  • Lower entry price than neighbouring premium suburbs
  • Great access to public transport, and major freeways
  • Close to a variety of quality schools
  • Close to Shopping Centre

Not great for

  • Higher than usual % of rented homes - less well maintained
