Murarrie may have it's drawbacks (as the reviews below highlight) but you will be hard pressed to find better value this close to the city (only 7km as the crow flies). If you're looking to buy, forget about the overpriced Park Hill estate and look instead on the east side of Creek Road. There are hundreds of post war houses that have either been or are being renovated, and just as many that are ready to be transformed. The new East Village development on the corner of Creek Road and Wynnum Road has the potential to transform this suburb in the next 5 years, so best get in now.
