The attitude of Norman Road is one of laid-back friendliness. Everyone lets the other do their own thing and live as they choose. Neighbours are there when you need them and scarce when you want some private time. I love the feel of beach-side quaintness even as a year-round resident. I can pop down for a quick swim at Hawker Beach and have the place to myself or venture further when I want to see others enjoying the swells.
