Have lived here for a long time, can only say that it is a great place to invest in now. Currently upgoing a major revamp- still has a long time to go, but will be fantastic.

Great multicultural and diverse area- good vibrancy and mix of people from all walks of life and parts of the globe.

In terms of shopping (fruit and veg etc) market is fantastic. Shopping for other things such as gifts, clothes and other items (especially if you are younger) I would suggest elsewhere- not much variety.

No nightlife- need to travel out of the area for entertainment. Dandenong still lacks in the 'things to do' category.

Still has a (unfair) bad reputation attached but nothing to take seriously, most places are safe although caution should be taken in central areas that are dark, quiet or when alone (as you would anywhere). Although I have many times walked through the area alone and have accessed transport late at night and have never come across any bad news (I am female).
