Rouse Hill

"Used to be nice - now turning into a ghetto"

On the plus side, the schools are decent and Rouse Hill Town Centre is a great little shopping centre. Most houses and yards are well presented and maintained. Unfortunately, the greed of council has allowed developers to build as many high rise apartments as they can jam in there. I have no idea who is going to buy them because you move to an area on the outskirts for space! If you want to live in a shoe box why not be near the coast or city? Forget about commuting out of the area because you will spend upwards of 4 hours a days in the car. When I first moved here (in 2004) it was lovely. Semi-rural, great community feel, now it's just another over populated suburb with no infrastructure. As soon as my kids finish school - I'm out!

I can agree with this to a point. Still a wonderful neighbourhood, particularly for young families with kids. The parking situation and the Deicorp Proximity project is a bit of an eyesore though. Hopefully construction will finish on that soon.
