Austinmer had an extremely friendly environment, with a beautiful coastline and all the amenities. Just visiting I could tell how friendly locals were. They referred me to the best cafe (which seemed to be the "Austinmer Beach Cafe") and just had such an outgoing, kind vibe. Most say that it is too crowded in summer, but what I discovered is that there is a second lesser known beach just down the road. Would totally recommend.
