Hendra

"Pretty as a picture"

Hendra is a suburb in Brisbane, approx. 6 kilometres from the city. It is also very close to the airport and the Gateway Arterial (easy access to the Sunshine coast and Gold Coast). Hendra is renowned for its pretty Queenslander houses on large blocks, quiet roads and wide tree lined streets. In spring, jacarandas turn the streets purple. It is a popular suburb for families due to its proximity to some of the best private schools in Brisbane. Neighbouring suburbs of Ascot and Hamilton are popular for restaurants and activities (Eat Street Markets, Portside, Racecourse Road and weekend markets). Although, Hendra itself has popular coffee shops too). In the middle of Hendra, is one of the prettiest parks in Brisbane, TC Beirne Park, popular for children's birthday parties and weekend picnics. Healthworks Gym in Hendra is like a country club with a tennis court, swimming pool and sauna. DFO at the airport is only a few minutes away with a 24hr Woolworths, Hendra is a beautiful, safe, family oriented suburb. House prices are increasing, and not just because of a ripple effect from neighbouring, blue chip suburb of Ascot. Hendra is becoming very popular with many famous sports stars owning property in the suburb due to its location and beauty.
