"The best place on Earth!"
This little town is magnificent. Stick to the newer areas if you want the best because I hear there are a few unsavoury types in the older southern spots near Pt Talburpin. Other than that if you are lucky enough to find yourself a house in one of the newer spots then you've won the jackpot. I have a boat so I go out on the bay a lot. It's just superb out on the water and just as good on the land. I can walk to the village shops from my house so it's really convenient. The best butcher and fruit shop in the Redlands is there and theres everything else you needs like banks, post office, bakery, supermarket and lots of really good restaurants and yes I've tried them all. My kids are all grown up now but they still love coming back here for a break. They feel like they are on a holiday when they get to Redland Bay. They grew up here and have the best memories of the place. I notice the young ones now still playing in the streets and they have the movies to go to at Victoria Point if they get bored. I will be retiring in a few years and this will be where I'll stay. I've got the best neighbours and I sleep at night with all my windows open in summer so that I can get the fresh breezes. Never been broken into and my neighbours have never had any break-ins either. We all look out for each other. Top spot here at Reddy Bay. And the local's the best I've ever been to with a great menu for all ages. No more video shop though don't know what happened but I get all my movies of the web now so its fine by me. Redland Bay = Perfection.

If you read my review I said Dart St.South Boundary St (the area between Marine St and Boundary St..
I do have good local knolage of the area as I live here. The Street now is quiet the people moved away as they do in all rental area's. I was not talking of the area (NORTH) of Boundary Street heading towards North St. That area is the most expensive & exclusive new estates. I was talking about the old area.(SOUTH) of Boundary READ my review properly. (To point out which way north is Victoria Poin t is north of Redland Bay)
Hi, I am looking at a place near Pt Talburpin (older area), can you elaborate on the "unsavoury types" as walking around Pt Talburpin it looks like a fantastic area?
Unfortunately your comment in relation to the southern area of Redland Bay shows your lack of knowledge of the area. The southern end of Redland Bay is where all the most expensive & exclusive new estates are and the better older estates. The area behind the old shops at Redland Bay shopping village are the least expensive and house more rentals than most areas. I do agree Redland Bay is a sensational spot though
