My advice to anyone wanting to live in a particular suburb is spend some time in it first. Go to the commercial area, walk around the streets and get a feel for the place. This suburb is full of elderly people and working families. You'll find the families are double income mums and dads, kids are highly scheduled and the only time you may ever see your neighbours is in a time of pandemic or Halloween. You should do your research on the typical demographic here and the types of working people you will find. The disparity in your occupation and ethnicity may lead to being ignored/excluded.
