Just moved here in July 2020 after building new home. Chose the suburb due to its location: close proximity to major cities such as Liverpool, Bankstown, Parramatta and Sydney CBD thanks to nearby M7/M5, semi-rural feel with lots of farms and undeveloped land (hope it stays like this), will be very close to the new Aerotropolis and therefore close to new shopping centres such as Leppington Town Centre.

Lots of good private schools around here including Thomas Hassall Anglican College and William Carey Christian School, Clancy College, Amity etc.

Austral has a small community feel and I love that there are still lots of mature trees around (don't see that in other new housing areas like Marsden Park for example). The new park in Leppington and the closeness to Western Sydney parklands and various nature walks and bike trails is good for nature and fitness lovers.

Hoping a lot more footpaths will be built as most of the roads don't have them, but it's still a new area so no doubt in time these things will be done.

Overall very happy here and happy to raise my kids in this neighbourhood.
