My husband and I bought off the plans to live in the Heath estate. It was a brand new place for the same price as a very run down house needing much work in the neighbouring suburbs. In the past 7 years we have lived here we have enjoyed it! Our street is very friendly with an annual street xmas party and we know we can call on any of our neighbours should we need anything at all. It is a very family orientated estate with many parks for the kids to play. This is the reason that we are currently up for sale but looking to buy a bigger property within the estate. We have had NO issues with our house in terms of building and yes, we do get some airport noise but that was here before we arrived and so do many other suburbs around here. The restrictions for outside blinds etc are no longer in place and our heating/cooling has been perfectly fine and not seemed to cost too much at all. I would guess that any air conditioning system would struggle on a day over 35 degrees.

Yes, parking sometimes can be a little bit of an issue with parties but my parents live in a suburban street and they also have parking issues due to the train station and people having parties so you get these problems no matter where you live. The Estate behind ours has no off street parking at all.

I would highly recommend this estate to anyone who asks.
