I grew up on Orontes Ave and couldn't imagine a better place to be raised. The neighbours were all very friendly and people in the street walking their dogs almost always greet you in a friendly way. There's a good, enclosed park nearby and many beautiful walks. A petrol station, supermarket, butcher, general store, hairdresser, newsagent, chemist and fresh fruit and veg store are within reasonable walking distance and very easy driving distance. Hahndorf and Mt Barker are not far in one direction, whilst Stirling and Aldgate with their many good eateries are not far in the opposite one. Just thinking about this is enough to make me want to move back, if only I were able...
