"Muswellbrook, AKA Judgebrook"
Quite awhile back, I wrote a less than savoury review of this town, and everybody jumped down my throat for giving my PERSONAL opinion, which is what the review section is for.
I still feel the exact same way, if not worse about living here.
One can get used to the lack of entertainment, (even a cinema would be great, I am not a partygoer), one can get used to the dust, one can get used to most things. It's a small town like any other, BUT one can not get used to the people in this town. There are actually groups on facebook where the residents of Muswellbrook get together to put down other people, complain about everything, and gossip about everyone. It's called " Muswellbrook Community Vent...that won't be deleted".
I would definitely urge someone considering to move here to keep to themselves, unless you are of a gossipy, spiteful nature, then this place would do you good.
The locals of Muswellbrook have a VERY hard time letting others speak their mind as has been demonstrated in these posts. You will be judged here if you don't fit the mould, be warned. Get in, get your money and get out. It's no secret the locals despise the miners here. This is a sad little town.
Also, it doesn't have a low suburb rating for nothing.

I agree! The area is full of people who are less than human, and a damn disgrace to the human race!!
I have never met such rude shop assistants as I have in Muswellbrook. They have the attitude that they're really brain surgeons, filling in in shops for 'pocket money'. They back pedal real fast if you challenge them, but damned if they remember ways of 'getting' you next time! (Like overpricing on an item. Check those dockets!!) I'm with Missy. rayleec, which area are you talking about?
Maybe you shouldn't get so wrapped up in facebook. It is for people who have nothing better to do with there time. People do too much bullying on these websites.
