Ashwood is a great suburb and is only getting better. Many of the old places are being pulled down and being replaced with new and modern housing. There are gorgeous parks nearby, it is close to transport, shops schools and universities. We are currently living in Cleveland Road, Ashwood which has its own shops (milk bar, chemist, cafe, indian restaurant, soon to be thai restaurant, bottle shop and a beautician). The people in the street are friendly and more and more families are moving into the street. Cleveland road is a walk away from Ashwood College and Parkhill Primary School. There are also some great childcare centres (Bloom on High Street Road Ashwood is excellent) and a very reputable kindergarten in Ashwood. There is a large safeway in Ashwood which is currently being renovated and will be finished soon and will be fantastic. There is now a farmers market on the every third sunday of each month in Aswhood. I have no hesitation in recommending Ashwood especially to growing families.
