Since moving to Brisbane we have rented in a number of different suburbs, and after moving to Hawthorne we wanted to stay in the area so settled in Morningside. It is the first time I have felt truly at home in Brisbane. However, I do have my issues. We pay a lot of rent for a house that is fairly down-trodden, and the possibility of buying in this area for a young couple, even though we have a large deposit ready, is impossible. Also; it is NOT a good area for cats. They die. I am not sure what the total cause of this is, but if you have cats in Morningside, leave them inside!! Besides these issues, I do love it here. I do not want to leave.
