Queen Street

"Hidden and green but very close to good food, transport, facilities & 15 mins avg. from CBD"

An odd little street that sits between Nicholson & Lygon Streets (it doesn't extend all the way from Lygon to Nicholson so through-traffic is lessened).

Pros:
• It's green
• Friendly neighbours
• Walkable to excellent coffee & food (brekky, lunch & dinner)
• Walkable to some fast food options too (i.e. Nando's)
• Walkable to tram stops (tram 25-35 mins to the CBD)
• Walkable to parkland and Ceres markets
• Plenty of parking

Cons:
• Ongoing vandalism (i.e. "tagging" by juveniles on school holidays) issues along the laneways
• Occasional criminal activity along more secluded areas of the laneways (but this has improved with increased through-traffic from businesses etc.)
• Large apartment complex is an out of place eyesore at the end of the street

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Singles
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
