The suburb is great for young families and professionals. I have lived in nearby Ashbury for 18 years and have moved to Hurlstone Park to be closer to city bound transport and closer to the river and parklands. Nearby suburbs of Dulwich Hill and Summer Hill are becoming out of reach for most people, so there is alot of interest in Hurlstone Park. The people are frinedly and all my neighbours have lived there for 40+ years. There are plenty of shopping options nearby and the convenience of the Canterbury Hurlstone Park RSL which is one of the best clubs I have been too.
