Moved to the Westmeadows/Attwood area early 2024. Great friendly community feel, mostly retirees who have been there a while. You've got the essentials in the village but it does need some tender loving care. There's a tobacco store and a tattoo parlour which don't seem to be frequented a lot by the locals. Perhaps another cafe and bakery would go better. Lots of walking tracks, wildlife, birds (beware the magpies). It's a very quiet area. Having moved from the inner city Essendon/Ascot Vale area has taken a while to get used to. I find myself going on the freeway most the time to get to common places but in saying that it's an excellent and affordable place to start off for families.
