Keperra

"Keperra: A suburb on the up and up!"

Aesthetically and architecturally, Keperra might not be Ashgrove, but it's definitely improving! It's a family friendly suburb, with easy access to shops and schools. Being on a train line is fantastic, and the local bus network (connecting to The Gap and Brookside on the 362) is handy. The Great Western Super Centre is a sizeable shopping centre, but it would be improved – in looks and substance – if the owners (Brookfield) were to continue and ultimately finish the re-development on the quarry site that was begun in the pre- Global Financial Crisis years. I'd love to see better pedestrian access to the shops at Great Western and Dallas Pde, in addition to footpath access throughout the suburb generally.
Keperra is a great area, and it's good to see local residents taking increasing pride in their suburb.

Great for

  • Great local schools
  • Close to a good golf course
  • Convenient basic shopping

Not great for

  • Could be improved with more footpaths
  • Better children's play equipment in parks would be welcome!
  • Peak hour traffic on Samford Road
  • Has its good and bad parts

Who lives here?

  • Families with kids
