"Slum is too complimentary"
Dirty, trashy, noisy, crime ridden ( personal experience several times) this hole is the worst place I've lived and I have lived in many cities around the world. There is nothing good I can say about it and anyone who likes it here is delusional we are leaving as quick as we can!!!

The same with Burwood. Never eat in Burwood. Went to Thaiphoon restaurant and behold a huge rat decided to come out of the kitchen and go out the front door. Disgusting!!!

Couldn't agree more. On top of what you have stated there is also a very crap council. One that has to debate for 2 years on whether the residents should have 2 hr parking on one side of the street or leave it as a commuter car park, then tell the residents they can park in the Mall at their own expense. Meanwhile the Rangers are stalking you! Or one that thinks it is a multicultural community when it is fast becoming a mono-culture of people that drop their Mandarin scripted food containers and Newspapers in the street. I had the unfortunate experience of living there for the past 14 months as I couldn't find anywhere to live in the surrounding suburbs, which are great. Search the NSW health "Name and Shame". You will find such mouth watering breaches as "Kept live crabs in toilet cistern", and "Bucket of chopped chicken on toilet floor". NEVER EAT IN ASHFIELD
