McGowans Lane is a super quiet lane with very friendly people and a fantastic park for the kids. Since living here (3 years) I have only heard two loud parties - and they both finished by midnight!!
The only shame about the area is the occasional graffiti attack, but this seems to happen in all suburbs in Melbourne, not just Burwood. It has never been a problem on our property - just in the neighbouring park. Local shops are great and there is a fantastic gym nearby. The kindergartens and schools are also of excellent standard. A lovely place to live, with easy access to the Yarra valley, beachside suburbs and the beautiful suburb of Canterbury.
