Glandore

"Great proximity to everything"

6kms to both the city and beach makes Glandore a great place to live with fantastic public transport available on south/cross roads and Anzac Highway. The glenelg/city tram line seperates the suburb into two council areas with the northern side (West Torrens) containing wide tree lined streets with character homes.
Kurralta Park shopping centre (Coles/Kmart) is in close walking proximity with numerous food outlets.
A small range of restaurants is available on Anzac Highway within 3 kms and Glandore is close to the following 3 pubs (all have been recently renovated) The Highway Inn, The Avoca, The Goodwood.
There are numerous reserves and parks with playgrounds and the recent Gallipoli Underpass (Anzac/Sth roads) and tram overpass have eased traffic congestion in the area.
As a single female that has lived here for close to three years I have felt comfortable coming and going at all hours and all of my neighbours (long time residents) are very friendly and always willing to help me around the house if in need (lifting/moving heavy items - lawnmower problems - gardening advice).
The suburb is currently undergoing somewhat of an urban regeneration with many houses being renovated.
The lack of coffee shops/cafes has been a struggle for me but it is only a 5 min drive to King William Road and Goodwood Rd and the Wayville Showgrounds Farmers Markets on a Sunday is only a 15minute walk.
