I grew up in Portland and it was the best place! Although it is far away (5hrs from Melbourne) from many big cities, it is quaint, friendly and beautiful. Everyone knows your name. You can walk everywhere. There is farming and coastal landscape that is no more than 20 mins from each other. Safe and gorgeous!! Great place to raise kids and teenagers!!
