Jolimont
31st January 2026

"Lovely and lively!"

Jolimont is honestly one of Perth's loveliest and most peaceful inner city suburbs. I have lived here for over five years and I love how close it is to everything - Perth City and Northbridge, Kings Park, City Beach, Galup, Subiaco, Bold Park and the River are all within a 10 minute drive, the major Cycling network and Daglish Station are just down the street. Nearby schools are some of Perth's most highly rated and respected, the proximity to the Hospitals and Medical Specialists, UWA, ECU and highly professional businesses puts Jolimont in a prime position. People are friendly, mostly in roles supporting the above mentioned localities, are young and engaged in the community. Bunnings is poised to relocate out of Subiaco into the space next door to MacDonalds and there are major apartments filling in along Hay Street. Once this corridor is complete, I believe Jolimont will feel much more naturally integrated into Subiaco. Wembley Golf Course is nearby and going for a run around Galup, Kings Park or Bold Park is within easy reach. The City to Surf passes through every year and it's great seeing all the neighbours out supporting the runners. Jolimont is more dense and modern South of Hay Street with lovely dog friendly parks (one of which is designed as a catchment in heavy rain), while North of Hay Street has gorgeous heritage cottage homes near Mabel Talbot Lake which you can easily do some birdwatching from. Coles in Shenton Park is a 15 min walk, or there's Woolworths, Coles and Target in Subiaco which is again a 15 min walk in the other direction. All in all, it's a really great area. Safe, family friendly, great for working professionals and anyone else who loves the outdoors.
