"Great for food, wine and golf - less good for surfing!"
About 3.5 hours west of Sydney, a fantastic town with lots to do for family living. It has everything that you need close at hand, with no need to do the daily commute.
If you are a young single professional looking for a fast track career, lots of nightlife, and weekends by the beach then Orange is not for you. If you have a young family, would like to see them often and don't want stuck in traffic for two hours a day, then Orange may be more your style.
It has lots to offer including tourism, so its good to come visit for a while and see if its for you.
Moved here 3 years ago from the UK and love it!
Great for
- Food and Wine
- Parks, leisure and 3 golf courses
- Schools and family life
- Friendly people
Not great for
- Can be cold in winter (but great in summer)
- Not much public transport
