Wagait Beach

"Darwinian Bolt Hole"

I love it here - only 15 minutes to Darwin , but once that boat leaves the pier you are in a remote rural coastal community (140klm by road to Darwin) . Houses on 1 acre blocks cheap enough for young couples with kids, artists, musicians, alt.lifestylers plus a few ferals (who can be a bit noisy playing ACDC in the middle of the night or letting their pig dogs run wild on the beach - paradise is not without it's dangers!).

Ignore the prices being asked by the real estate agents - in May 2011 I bought a 2 bed elevated cyclone coded home on a 1 acre block , 1 block from the beach. original asking price was $365, I got it for $210.

Come on groovers, come and join us on the cool side of Darwin Harbour! Prices won't stay this low for long!
