Dandenong North
Editors Choice

"Great neighbourhood and friendly spirit"

Bought in Dandenong North a year ago and love my decision. Dandenong North is quite different than Dandenong and Springvale (where occasional crime may occur), as it is more of a residential suburb rather than commerical.

The best streets are north of Halton Rd and Brady Rd near to Waverly Garden shopping centre and Rosewood Downs areas. You wont find any junkies and commission housing here, just friendly and smiling people. There are some good schools like Silverton Primary (which was chosen #1 in Victoria under a cetain category - as per myschool website), Elizabeth Primary.

With Melbourne boundary extending upto Pakenham and Cranbourne, Dandenong North feels like in the centre. You can goto Ringwood, Frankston, Berwick within minutes. Just be careful living near Heatherton Rd as there are some troublemakers there, you cannot go wrong if you live in the northenmost parts of Dandy North.

Great for

  • Great neighbourhood
  • Big parks and sporting grounds
  • Area of growth as it in the centre of Eastern Melbourne
  • Necessicities Close by. Good schools
  • Waverley Gardens is OK

Not great for

  • Need a car, but if living in the outer suburbs it is nessesary any way

Who lives here?

  • Professionals
  • Families with kids
  • Retirees
