We first moved here as young couple buying an apartment on Burgundy street and fell in love with the place. Now 10 years later we live down along the Yarra trail area off Beverly road and absolutely love it. The parkland is incredible and has been a lifesaver during lockdowns for us our two young children (6 & 3). Close walk to burgundy st and Rosanna village, lots of great food and coffee options plus every grocery option you need - the new Woolworths in Heidelberg is excellent. Great schools in the area. Lots of old homes being renovated and lovely well maintained streetscapes. Houses don’t seem to come up that often and the prices are increasing every year. There are more apartments being built in and around the main Burgundy st shopping precinct which is brining in lots of new businesses which is good too. Two local pubs building outdoor options now, all we need is a wine or cocktail bar and we’re set.
