We struck upon this street by chance and could not be happier. Great people up and down the street who are friendly, welcoming and caring. Our daughter absolutely loves playing in the street with the other kids. It has that great feel of what living in a neighbourhood was like 30 years ago. People look out for each other and for the kids which is really comforting. We love Charlestown and despite the thoughts of moving to a newer house on occasions we couldn't contemplate leaving our street.

We initially moved to Charlestown for convenience with the view to staying for 10 or 12 years. Having been here for two years now, we are already thinking we'll remain in Charlestown for ever. It is the perfect location to access everything you need. Easy drive into Newcastle, great beaches at your doorstep, huge shopping centre, good places to eat and drink, logical hub to the Central Coast, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter. Our street is amazing with terrific people who are friendly and welcoming. I couldn't be happier with our choice of Charlestown and I only see it improving with infrastructure and ammenities in the coming years.
